Our Weekend!!!

So this weekend we had a cub scout campout.. We went to Lake Shelby and had a wonderful time. We got there about 6:30 pm Friday and we set up our tent.. and then we got all of our stuff together and went fishing.. After all of that it was getting late and time for bed.. So we went to bed, well at least tried to sleep!! Umm... it was well cold and the ground was very hard and well we didn't sleep the greatest, but it was still a wonderful time.. So we got up the next morning and had our breakfast and coffee and got to fishing again :-) Then we played football with the boys and just hung out.. After that we left and went home and got cleaned up and went over to Robert's parents for a late Easter dinner and we spent some time with Robert's boys. We went fishing for a while and had a great time over there with them.. As always I had a wonderful time and here are some pictures of our wonderful weekend!!!

  

General Quarters... Countdown to Derby Day!!!

So Tim McCarthy, my boss here at the Nutt Law Office his dad, Thomas McCarthy's horse won the Bluegrass at Keeneland and he is now headed to the Kentucky Derby.. HOW EXCITING!!! So my boss has been helping his dad train his horse each morning for the derby.. This morning he came in and said damn horse bit me.. but that is ok I can be bitten by a derby horse!!! It was funny.. Here is a story about General Quarters and a picture of the horse..   Let's just say this is the big and exciting news in the office every day... It is a countdown to Derby day :-)

Doctor Referrals...When, Where, What...???

So Bradley had his 6 month follow up appointment at the neurologist today for his migraines and well when we get there.. (not a very short trip I might add, 30 minutes there, 30 minutes to get him back to school and then 30 minutes to drive back down there to work.. So an hour and half of driving) they say do you have the referral.. WHAT, what do you mean "the referral"..??  We have been coming here forever and you have never asked about a referral before I told them... They said every 6 months the referral expires and you need a new one.. Well it is 2009 I might add and we have been coming here since 2007 and we have never been asked this question before.... So they look at the last referral and it says "2007".. I was like we came here 2 times last year and nothing was ever said, blah blah blah.. Soooooooo... they called my insurance company and they said well since it is over a year old now we need his PCP to do the referral ..  so then we had to call the PCP and get them to do a referral..  I mean honestly, isn't that "THEIR" job to follow up on that OR to make sure it is in the file the day before when they call to confirm my appointment.. So rather than it taking the normal 30 minutes.. We were in there more than an hour today..    So my thought is.... Do I need a referral to knock her out??

Easter Sunday... April 12, 2009

So Easter Sunday was here and we were planning a cook out over at my dad's... We got up and got everything together and headed over..  It was so great to be able to celebrate Easter with all of us together..  It was yummy.. steaks.. deviled eggs... potatoes... and strawberry pie!!! After that we played in the backyard for a bit.. Baseball is always fun..  :-)  After that we headed home and took a hike into the woods to play with the BB gun.. Our Date night... April 11, 2009

It was date night for me and Robert... We started off by going to Ditto's (yes my favorite place to eat).. We both ordered the crab cakes.. There are no other crab cakes in the world better than Ditto's!!!  Yummy Yummy!!! We ordered our favorite bottle of wine.. Columbia Winery Riesling....  So after drinking and eatting we were out for a night on the town :-)  We went to Hard Rock Cafe for a few drinks and then we went to Vinnie's for some dancing.. We had a wonderful time.. There is nothing better than spending a full evening with the love of your life..  Here are a few pictures of our wonderful evening...

   

         

Easter Egg Hunting...

   So Saturday, April 11, 2009 we went to Spencer County Christian Church and went easter egg hunting..  We went with Bradley's buddy Zack's family.. It was nice they had a great story before hand for all of the kids and then they got to go easter egg hunting... See..

           

Friday... We did What... Engagement Rings??

So Friday me and Robert went and looked at engagement rings..   We have been talking about marriage for a while now and well he wanted to surprise me with a ring, BUT he also wants to make sure I like it..   So long story short we went and looked at them and it was just go exciting.. I cannot wait for the day that he asks me to marry him.. !!!  I look so forward to it!!!  This is the ring that I liked:

So a few days or so ago.. We had Robert's boys over and we had a great time.. We played football, we shot the bb gun and so on.. Here are a few pictures of our wonderful day :-)  We don't get to see his boys as much as we would like to, but I enjoy every minute we do get to spend with them!!   We had a BB gun shoot off and I took Brendon out but well Jacob had one over on me!!  :-)  As you can see Robert was quarterback and throwing for a touchdown!!

Hail.. Hail.. Go away!! Come back another day!!

Ok.. so Robert just sent me a picture of the hail falling in Shelbyville.. Let's just say I am glad I am at work with my car in the parking garage!!!   

Saturday.. Garage Sale time...

So we have been planning a yard sale for about a month or so now!! Friday came around and it was time to get everything ready.. What a task that was!! We stayed up a little to long.. ummm... well drinking the night before and that made it very difficult to get up and do the things we needed to do.. BUT... we got them done.. So Saturday morning came and we got up at 6:20 A.M. to set everything up.. Was that a task or what.. geez... So much stuff.. WOW!! We finally finished setting up about 8 a.m. (when the yard sale started) About 9:00 am or so we had a steady flow coming in.. until about noon.. then it started to slow down.. So about 1:30 we said everything was 25 cents.. I mean come on who wants to pack all of that stuff back in.. Ya know.. Finally about 2:00 or so we threw in the towel.. We ended up making a profit of about $275.00.. I mean that is not a bad Saturday spent sitting around.. So the meaning of this story is to SELL.. SELL.. SELL!!! P.S. next yard is this weekend.. LOL.. kidding!!!

Sunday.. Our day at the park.. then our date time..

We got up Sunday morning and said we need to go out and do something since it is nice this morning.. So we said a cook out at the park would be wonderful.. We called up my sister and her crew and then my dad (but of course he was already out on the golf course!!!)  So It was our crew and my sisters off to the park to grill out and enjoy the park!!  We got there and got everything going and ate wonderful hamburgers and then did a little fishing..  Then Robert and Bradley thougth it would be fun to get into the creek... here are some pictures!! 

       

After the fun at the park.. my sister said she would take Bradley for a bit since they were going to the flea market, etc..  So WOW we have some time to ourself.. So we went to the movies and saw Knowing with Nicholas Cage, which was an ok movie.. The end was just well umm... kinda strange..  But we got to go and look at some furniture and just spend some quality time together which is always nice!!! 

 

 

Love of my life.... Robert!!!

Where do I begin... October of last year I got this email on myspace saying I read your profile and I thought I would send you a message, etc. I was like ok he seems nice so I responded and we went from there.. On November 7, 2008 we went on our first date.. We went to Ditto's on Bardstown Road.. I love love love it there..

I am very shy at first so I did some talking but I don't talk very much when I first meet someone.. I had a very nice time and it just went on from there.. I didn't want to jump into anything to quick but things just progressed so easily with him.. I invited him to Christmas dinner and after that I was his!! So then New Years came around and it was still so new and exciting (and still is!!) and midnight came and I told him I loved him (he already told me, but I wanted that right moment for me) and that was it.. Nothing could top that moment being with him at the beginning of a new year!! I just cannot explain how he makes me feel.. He is so wonderful and treats me better than I have ever been treated.. A love like this is so hard to find and to be able to say I have found my soulmate is a big thing!! We can do the simplest things with each other and still have fun, be silly or be serious when we need to!! We are building a future together and when we sit and talk about it just makes me cherish every moment we have together.. I love him with all my heart and he is truly the love of my life!! I look forward to every minute of every day I get to spend with him!! <3

BB Guns and Boys!!!

Robert, my new love is an outdoor kinda guy and of course what little boy does not enjoy that!!   So we have been doing all kinds of outdoor activities lately.. Robert spent today with Bradley and his two boys Brendon and Jacob and they decided to take the BB guns out and about and this is what they got into!!  

First blog

I have found a couple of people that blog on here and I find it very interesting to be able to do this.. I wonder how they find the time or what will you write about..   But there are so many things you can write about and you can just take a few minutes and blog away!!

The reasoning behind my blog name.. I have been dating this guy Robert who is wonderful, the best thing to happen to me besides Bradley..  So with him, Bradley and his 2 boys and then our male dog.. I mean I am the only woman.... :-0    So I dedicate this blog to My Life with Boys!! 

So this is the beginning of the beginning and I look forward to blogging :-)  Enjoy !!
